James M. Ernst

Ernst, James M., age 63 of Bellbrook passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014. He was born February 26, 1951 in Ft. Loramie, OH to Mary Ellen and the late Henry Ernst. James was preceded in death by his son, Anthony J. (Tony) in 1999. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Diane (Brandewie); two daughters, Julie (Jeff) Bean, Carrie (Eric) Frantz; a daughter-in-law, Angela Clark: four sisters, Mary Lou (Tom) Klein, Jackie Ernst, Karen Ernst, Patty (Tony) Eilerman; three brothers, Henry (Linda), Kenny (Deb), Rich (Jennie); six grandchildren, Lexi Ernst Clark, Jaden & Bella Bean and Ashley, Jordan & J.T. Frantz. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. He was a family man who had a passion for the Cleveland Browns and was a University of Dayton fan. Some of his many accomplishments include President of Dayton & Ohio Homebuilders Association, Trustee of National Homebuilders Association, and Trustee of Ohio Wetlands Foundation. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, Nov 3rd at 10:30 at St. Francis of the Assisi Church. The family will receive friends Sunday, Nov 2nd from 2-6 at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd. Burial, Bellbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton and the Ohio Wetlands Foundation.
