Mike loved sports and was actively involved with youth sports throughout his life, having served as an assistant football coach at Dixie High School, Oakwood High School, as well as coaching youth basketball.
Mike was loved by many, adults, and children alike and will be remembered and missed by all. He was a funny, boisterous, and caring man and his loss will be felt by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He will be interred at Calvary Cemetery.
There are so many people to thank that we cannot possibly name them all. We do want to thank the many caring neighbors and friends of Mike who have more than stepped in to fill the gap that was left when Mike became ill just seven weeks ago. There have been meals provided, check-ins made, support for us with John, and support for Mike as he faced his short battle with cancer. We won’t ever know how to truly thank everyone, but we know that we would not have been able to stay as strong as we have without all of you. A good friend commented to us that Oakwood is a great place to be, in good times and in bad, and we cannot agree more.
One of the most recent gifts was the creation of an education fund for Mike's son, John. Checks can be made payable to Shannon Powell c/o Cahill Fund at 525 Maysfield Road, Oakwood, Ohio, 45419.
