Allen H. Specht

Allen H. Specht, 80, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton.

Al was born in Mt Pleasant, PA on October 9, 1942 to Herbert and Dorothy Kerr Specht.

Al grew up and went to school in West Newton, PA and after graduation in 1960 he came to the area to play football and attend the University of Dayton. It is there that he met his future wife, Ellen Williams Specht, whom he married June 1,1963. Ellen passed away April 24, 2021. Al sold insurance for Allstate until his retirement.

Al is survived by his three children, Lori (Art) Duran of Youngstown, Lisa Lilligren (Greg Oly) of Bradenton, FL and Matt Specht of Dayton, his grandchildren, Art Jr and Matt (Sara) Duran; Josh, Kameron and Kara Lilligren and Ethan and Griffin Specht.

There were no services although a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton. The family would like to thank Marty Greenwood for her friendship and the time she spent with their father; Susan Lewis for her love and constant support and the wonderful team of professionals at Kettering Health.
