Kappeler, L., Ann., born Oct. 29, 1927 in Dayton, OH, died on January 11, 2016, at Bethany Village, Centerville, OH at age 88. She chose to reside at Bethany in the spring of 2009 and appreciated their good care. L. Ann earned two Bachelor’s Degrees at The University of Dayton (in 1945 & ’64); taught Social Studies & English in elementary schools on Long Is., NY (1966 – ’74); and took her students on an annual trip to the United Nations in NYC. Thereafter, she worked at the University of Dayton (from 1974 until retired in ’94). First, as secretary in the Dept. of Languages & later, scheduling events & known as “The Information Lady” at K.U. Ms. K. earned a Masters of Science Degree in Education at U.D. in 1986 and delighted in counseling U.D. students. Survived by her daughter, Diane Kappeler DePascale and many cousins including Robert and Dolores Kappeler (Dayton) and Jack & Sandy Kappeler (WY). Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00am Friday January 22 at Emmanuel Catholic Church, 149 Franklin St., in downtown Dayton, OH followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery in Kettering.
