Arlene A. Cooke

Cooke, Arlene Stafford, passed away on March 12, 2018 at Kettering Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the oldest of eight, born to Robert and Virginia Stafford, on June 30th, 1944. She was a devoted Registered Nurse for 20+ years and retired from Southern Ohio Medical Center. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and was an arts & crafts enthusiast. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years Harris Cooke, one son David (Heidi) Schaefer, three daughters, Amy Louisa (Wolfgang Jorzik) Schaefer, Wendy Drake, Emily Cooke, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 18th, from 4-8pm at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, and Monday March 19th, from 9:30am - 10:45am at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:30am at Church of the Incarnation on Far Hills. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church or St. Mary's Catholic Church on Xenia Ave or a charity that was near to Arlene's heart, the YWCA of Dayton, OH.
