ELLSBERRY, AVANELL M. “AVA,” age 91, passed away peacefully after a long joyous life on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Macie Rapp; husband, Louis A. Ellsberry and son-in-law, Rodney Adams and 4 siblings. Ava is survived by 3 loving daughters: Avalena “Bunny” (Jim) Guy of Missouri, Marsha Adams of Bellbrook and Cheryl (Ron) Freeman of Xenia; step-daughter, Lee Ann (Gary) Thomas of Florida and family; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and brother, Charles (Mary) Rapp of Columbus and many other loving family and friends. Ava loved life and was a loving mother and grandmother, who’s greatest accomplishment was her family. She worked at GM Inland Division for 31 years and retiring in 1979. Ava was president of the Inland Retirees and a life time member of Ladies Auxiliary of VFW#9927. Visitation will be Thursday, October 23rd from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd, Kettering. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 24th at the funeral home. Pastor Randall Townsend officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
