Barbara Ackerman

ACKERMAN, Barbara (Kryter) 77, recently passed away at The Suites of Walnut Creek in Kettering OH. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald W. Ackerman. She is survived by a brother Robert and wife Judy of Loudon TN, brother-in-law James Ackerman, sister-in-law Donna Hunn and brother-in-law Howard Ackerman and wife Mary, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Born in 1934 in Speedway IN to Robert and Clara Kryter, Barbara obtained a BA degree in English and Literature from Hanover College in Madison, IN in 1956. She was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She taught in the West Carrollton School System for 30 years. Barbara was a member of St. Henry Parish, an avid reader and supporter of the Arts in the Dayton area. The family thanks Barb's "extended family" at The Suites of Walnut Creek and Hospice of Dayton for their loving care given to Barb. Contributions in Barbara's memory may be made to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420. A private memorial service will be held at a later date
