Barbara Hargrove

On July 24, 2017 Barbara L. Hargrove went peacefully to meet our Lord. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents William and Emma Kingston (Janacsek) and her brothers Paul and Robert Kingston. She is survived by her sister Patricia Shell, her sons Richard II and his wife Jeanie, David and his wife Sydney, 4 grandchildren Ian, Greg, Lucas and Ali and her great grandchild Salem. In addition, there are host of nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Barbara graduated from Julianne High School in 1949. She attended the University of Dayton after high school and worked at WHIO. In 1955 she married and spent the next several years raising her family. In 1968 the family returned to the Dayton area. Barbara spent the next few decades working as an executive secretary and administrative assistant in several fields including law, psychiatry and real estate.
One of the most endearing qualities of Barbara is that she loved to laugh. She always managed to find the humor in any situation. Her love of life will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
There will be a visitation for friends and family on Monday July 31st at Westbrock Funeral Home on Bigger Rd. from 5p to 7p. Services will be held on Tuesday at Westbrock at 11a with a procession to Calvary Cemetery to follow.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in Barbara's name to Hospice of Dayton.
