Barbara L. Rose

ROSE, Barbara L. age 81, passed away Tuesday November 19, 2013. Barb was a life-long Cincinnati Reds Fanatic for over 60 years. She was retired from The Westbrock Funeral Home and a former member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Springfield. Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob D. Flora in 1997 and Mary Elizabeth Patton in 1994; husbands, Leland Horner and Dr. Bernard Rose; two sisters, Dorothy A. Flora and Darlene Flora; and a brother, Jacob D. Flora. Barb is survived by two sisters, Mary Lee & Richard Burns of Springfield, Marlene & George Jones of Springfield; a brother, George Edward & Ann Flora of Reynoldsburg; her daughter, Susan H. Rose of Dayton; a son, Robert L. Rose of Centerville; two granddaughters, Amber M. Rose of Centerville, Kristen and husband John Gibson of Rochester Hills, MI. and their two children, Abigail Leigh and Conner James Gibson; many devoted cousins, nieces and nephews, and numerous friends including her best friend for over 40 years, Penny Caldwell of Deleware, OH. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11:00am at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road in Kettering. Burial will follow in Myers Cemetery in North Hampton, Ohio. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10-11am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
