BOECKMAN, Bernadette F. "Bernie" (Keferl) Age 76, of Dayton, died April 3, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on June 13, 1934 to the late Joseph Keferl and Jeannette Ockelman Keferl. Preceded in death by husband Joseph Boeckman in 2005 and sisters Mary Ann Harrison, Rose Marie Larkins, Ruth Keferl and brother Thomas Keferl. Survived by son Paul (Ginny), daughter Cecile and sons Jonathan and William (Christina Bayley), sisters in law Elizabeth Keferl, Frances Boeckman, Lucille Boeckman, Mary Ann Boeckman and brother in law W. Daniel Boeckman and grandchildren Nicholas, Megan, Alex and Katie and numerous nieces and nephews. Bernie was a 1952 graduate of Julienne High School and retired from Corpus Christi School in 1999. Bernie deeply loved her husband Joe and her family. Along with her sister Rose Marie, she reveled in creating many memorable and entertaining family events. Her wit and humor put smiles on the faces of many family members and friends over the years. From organizing Independence Day parties to occasionally beating her husband Joe at gin rummy, she never missed an opportunity to enjoy life. For Bernie, life couldn't get any better than sharing a "Meghattan" with her family and laughing at the events of the day. Special thanks for the wonderful care provided by Dr. C. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday April 7, 2011 at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church 310 Allen St., Dayton, preceded by a prayer service 9:30 am at the funeral home. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
