Bernard A. Hecht

Hecht, Bernard A., age 96, of Kettering, passed away Saturday July 7th. Mr. Hecht was born September 7, 1921, in Miamisburg. He joined the U.S. Navy where he was a Seaman on a mine sweeper. After his service time in the Navy, he returned home and married Janet L. Fryburger in October of 1949. Mr. Hecht spent his working career at General Motors, where he worked in quality assurance, and was a member of St. Albert the Great Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. He is survived by a daughter, Victoria Carbone; a son, Jeffrey Hecht; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday July 17th at 12 noon at St. Albert the Great Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Good Hope cemetery in Miamisburg with military honors. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00-11:55am at the church. Arrangements entrusted to The Westbrock Funeral Home.
