Berta Helmig

Helmig, Berta: Berta Helmig peacefully passed away Wednesday at Harbor Side H. C. in New Lebanon surrounded by her family. She was truly one of "America's Sweethearts." She was a vet of WWII, a bookkeeper for hundreds of people, a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and the greatest great aunt. She was preceded in death by; her husband, Robert, her mother, Norma, (1) brother, Donald and (1) sister, Mary, and so many dear friends. She is survived by (3) brothers; Charles, Raleigh & Robert and (1) sister, Edna, (4) step-children, (12) grandchildren, (34) great grandchildren, and so many wonderful friends whom she thought of as family. Visitation to honor her life will be held at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave., Dayton, OH, Saturday, November 15, 2008 starting at 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm. Berta would honor any donations to Hospice of Dayton as our family honors them for her great care. A special thanks to Brenda and Susan for all you did to help Berta.
