WHEELER, Billy G., age 79, was reunited in Heaven with his wife of 37 years, Betty, on May 5, 2017. He was born on September 21, 1937 to the late George and Evelynn Wheeler. Bill was always a hardworking man and a proud member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors. He was born in Kentucky and raised 7 children in Bellbrook, Ohio with his first wife, Ginnie. Whenever Bill would see his children or talk to them on the phone, he always told them “I love you” and told them always tell your children you love them. Bill was a very positive person and never met a stranger. He was always “Daddy” to his children and “Granddaddy” to his grandchildren. He and his second wife, Betty, lived in Bristol, Tennessee, later to retire in Fort Myers, Florida. Bill loved to travel all over the United States in his RV. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Jackson, a brother, Johnny, and a grandson, Shawn Jones. He is survived by seven children: Debbie (Bill) Jones, Patti Workman, Dora (Jeff) Erickson, Bill (Carolyn) Wheeler, Joe (Tracey) Wheeler, Carol Wheeler, Sharon (Lloyd) Colston. 21 Grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by 3 step-sons: David (Sally) Dobbs, Mike (Teresa) Dobbs, and Jeff Dobbs. And a very special friend and union brother of almost 50 years, Tommy Ammon. Friends and family may visit from 2-5 pm on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Westbrock Funeral Home, Kettering. A funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Monday, May 8, also at the funeral home. Billy will then be laid to rest at 11:00am on Wednesday in Oakridge Memorial Park, Oakridge, TN.
