Carl W. Brooks

Brooks, Carl W., age 76 of Centerville passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Carl served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was the former Commander at the American Legion Post 598, a member of the VFW Post 9927 and Amvets. He was preceded in death by five brothers. Carl is survived by his loving wife, Maureen; 5 children and their spouses. Laura (Craig) Fryman of Bellbrook, Linda (Richard) Houk of AZ, Gerry (Chrissi) Mahler of AZ, Ann (Wes) Whaley of AZ, Mindy (Brent) Lewis of Bellbrook; 2 brothers, Elwood Guenther of FL, Jack (Marie) Brooks of OH; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The Family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00-5:00 pm at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Westbrock, Rev. Rob Wackerman officiating followed by Burial at the Dayton National Cemetery and a Celebration of Life at American Legion Post 598.
