HORVATH, Carroll A. Age 85, of Centerville, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014. He was born September 10, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years - Marilyn D. (Koch) Horvath; his daughter, Anne M. Horvath; his parents Anthony G. Horvath and Loraine M. Horvath; and his brothers, Allen Horvath, Eugene Horvath and Larry Horvath. Carroll is survived by his sisters, Gail Horvath and Julie Horvath, and brother, Roy Horvath; his sons, Jeremy Mykaels and Tony Horvath (wife, Paula); and daughters, Chris Mollohan (husband, Rich), Mary Kowal, Teresa Horvath, Jane Marshall (husband, Eric); grandchildren, Dawn Sievers (husband, Mike), Jon Kowal, Nathan Mollohan (wife, Deana), Ryan Peavie, Ginnene Peavie, April Neu, Brian Marshall, Jared Marshall, Brandon Horvath, Jordan Horvath, Logan Horvath; and great-grandchildren, Aidan Mollohan, Jordan Kunik, Maleke Aaron, Amari Aaron, and Rylee Harper. Carroll graduated from Chaminade High School in 1946. He served in the National Guard of Ohio and National Guard of the United States as a CPL in the AF 162nd Fighter Squadron as an automotive mechanic from 1948 to 1951. He was a member of the American Red Cross and Knights of Columbus; and he worked for Colgate-Palmolive Company as a salesman for 10 years. Carrolls real love was helping people and small businesses become more financially secure by working in his chosen profession as a certified life underwriter and chartered financial consultant. He was a soft-spoken, humble and loving man. God has you in His arms; we have you in our hearts! A viewing and receiving of family and friends will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave., Dayton, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Incarnation Church, 7415 Far Hills Ave, Centerville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association of Dayton.
