Cary Griggs

GRIGGS, Cary Hardee age 88, of Kettering, passed away Thursday June 18, 2009. Mr. Griggs was born and raised in Florida, where he still enjoyed spending much of his time. He was an avid sportsman and had a great passion for fishing. Mr. Griggs was a U.S. veteran of the Army Air Corp. during WWII. He was retired from NCR after many years of employment, and a member of Rean Meadows Baptist Church. Cary was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty, and a brother, Robert Sanders. He is survived by a daughter, Debby Peterson (Bill); a son, Chris Griggs (Sharon); and four grandchildren, Jennifer Reason (Eric), Rob Peterson (Heidi), Dan Peterson, and John Griggs. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00am Tuesday June 23rd at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road in Kettering with Pastor David Kisner officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
