ADAMS, CECIL DAVID, age 96, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away, Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at his residence. He was born April 18, 1915 in Xena, KY to David and Abbiegail Adams. He was a precision grinder in Dayton before moving to Mountain Home in 1972. He owned Adams Lock and Key Service from 1979 until retiring in 2000. He served in World War II with the U. S. Army 188th Combat Engineers. He was a lifetime member of the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 and a 39 year member of the Mountain Home Elks Lodge #1714. He is survived by his wife, Joan Adams, sister, Kate (Paul) Taylor of Charleston, WV; a brother, Paul (Yvonne) Adams of Celina, OH and a sister-in-law, Joann Schneider of Centerville and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ed and a sister, Mildred. Visitation will be held, Saturday, May 14th from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering 45440. Burial will follow the services at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Elks Lodge Building Fund, PO Box 96, Mountain Home, AK 72654-0096.
