ANDERSON, Charlene M. (Schweller), of Miami Township, formerly of Kettering, Ohio was called to be with the Lord on March 15, 2017. Charlene was a native of Dayton, Ohio. She was the daughter of Albert and Hilda Miller. She graduated from Julienne High School with honors and received an Associate’s Degree from Miami Jacobs Business College. She attended Sinclair College and the University of Dayton. Charlene was an Executive Secretary for Dayton Power & Light. Later in life she served as the Recording Secretary for the Board of Zoning Appeals for Kettering, Ohio. She was a former member of the Kettering Sister City Committee and past President of the Dayton Catholic Women’s Club, Church Women United, the Short Hill Garden Club and St Albert the Great Women’s Guild. She was a volunteer at the Dayton Art Institute where she served as a DOCENT. She also volunteered at Kettering Memorial Hospital in the Chaplain’s Office. She is preceded in death by her first husband Harold E. Schweller and her second husband William H. Anderson, as well as a daughter, Amy Marie Schweller. She is survived by her daughters, Theresa (Ronald) Warych of Dayton, Karen (Patrick) Pierson of New Bern, N.C. and her son, Andrew (Julie) Schweller of Huntington, IN and her six grandchildren, George Warych, Kristofer and Ingrid Pierson, Michael, Thomas and Dale Schweller. She is also survived by her brothers, Marvin (Molly) Miller and Orville (Jane) Miller of Cincinnati along with her sister, Phyllis Johnson of New York. Friends and family may visit from 10am-12pm on Monday, March 20 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. Mass will begin at 12 noon, also at church. Charlene will then be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Dayton and The Epilepsy Foundation of Southwest Ohio.
