DIRCKX, CHARLES D., 70, of 4701 Renwood Avenue, Kettering, died Sunday, August 29, 2010, after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Virginia Dirckx. Charles is survived by his brother, John Dirckx and sister-in-law Joyce, cousins: Agnes Maixner and Vincent Behan, nieces: Anne DiMuccio (Ernie), Patricia Hemler (Alan), Janet Schieman (John), Jill Gaccetta (Andre), and Julie Drury (Jason), grand-nephews: Anthony, Sam, Dominic, and Aaron, grand-nieces: Alexandra, Sarah, Gabriella, Sophia, Grace, and Ava, many friends, and special pal Matt Moon. Mr. Dirckx attended the University of Dayton, Northwestern, and Wright State University, and held master's degrees in education and counseling. Before his retirement he was a member of the faculty and Director of Guidance at Archbishop Alter High School. A man of deep faith and sterling integrity, he met misfortune with courage and suffering with dignity. He enjoyed reading, gardening, and talking. Visitation will be held, Saturday, September 4th from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Emmanuel Catholic Church, 149 Franklin Street, Dayton.
