Charles Ferguson

Ferguson, Charles E., (Gene) age 80, passed away, Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at St. Leonard’s Retirement Community in Centerville, Ohio. Gene is survived by his wife, Julia Ferguson, daughter Kathleen Ferguson and son Brian (Diann) Ferguson and grandchildren Jonathon, Cameron and William Ferguson. Gene graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1953 and was active U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1956. He participated with the U. S. Navy Reserve Intelligence Division and retired from the Reserves as a Commander. Gene worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for 26 years retiring in 1985. While there, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of New Mexico. In retirement, Gene was an active volunteer at Kettering Medical Center for 10 years. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Leonard’s and Hospice of Dayton for all their care and support given to Gene.

Visitation will be held, Friday, August 12th from 1:00p.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. at St. Leonard’s Chapel, 8100 Clyo Road, Centerville, Ohio 45458. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Dayton. .
