Houser, Charles R., Jr., “Ray”, “Bud”, born June 2, 1925, in Dayton, OH., passed away Monday February 16, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. and Carmen M., and sons, Charles R. III and Mark E. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Eileen M. (Sprauer); daughters, Judith R. Servis (Robert), Sheila M. Adams; sons, Michael J., Paul G. and Matthew W. (Karen); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a graduate of Chaminade High School in 1942. Ray served in the U.S. Army with the 12th Infantry Division in Germany during WWII. He then went on to graduate from Ohio Northern College of Pharmacy in 1950. He owned and operated Moosbrugger Drug from 1951 to 1958 then Houser’s Pharmacy in Mad River Township from 1958 to 1973 selling the store at that time. Mr Houser worked at St. Elizabeth Medical Center pharmacy until it closed in 2000, then at CVS Pharmacy until 2007 when he retired. He was a Past-President of the Miami Valley Pharmaceutical Association and was a lector at St. Charles Borromeo Church for 40 years. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Friday February 20th at St. Charles Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8pm at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road.
