Charles "Butch" Swartz

SWARTZ, Charles “Butch”, age 71 of Middletown passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, October 14, 2018. He was born on January 27, 1947 in Middletown to the late, Donald E. and Clara (Sames) Swartz. Also preceding him in death is sister, Betty Lou Gomia. He is survived by his loving wife, Joi (Wagner) Swartz; children, Wendi Armstrong (partner, Laura ), Heather (Doug) Roth, Todd (Melissa) Swartz, Janette Gibbs, Dennis (Laura) Harrison, Jeff (Denise) Harrison,13 grandchildren; sister, Patty Swartz and many other extended family and friends. Butch served in the US Army and was in Vietnam 68/69 then joined the National Guard and served his country for 28 years. Friends and family may visit from 3-6:00 pm on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd. Kettering. A funeral service will be at 10:00am on Monday, October 22, also at the funeral home, with Rev. Chuck Wolfinbarger officiating. Burial following at the Dayton VA National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Vineyard Community Church, Franklin, 4900 Oh-123 Franklin, Ohio 45005.
