BERGER, CLETUS L., age 88, passed away, Monday, March 29, 2010. Cletus was born in Dayton on July 23, 1921. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dolores L. Berger, children: Nancy Hayes (life partner, John Lohmeyer), Roy (Mary) Berger, Doug Berger and Mary (Sidney) Tompkins, grandchildren: Amy (Matt) Hall, Wade Hayes, Michael (Heather Monigan) Berger, Laura Berger, Nicholas (Cate) Berger, Alaric Berger, James Tompkins, Ashley Tompkins and Alexis Tompkins and great-grandchildren: Matt Hall, Jr., Ally Hall, Amanda Hall, Jackson Berger, Kaylee Berger and Emory Berger. Cletus was a Navy Veteran and pilot during WWII, a toolmaker in the Dayton area for 40 years working at Steel Products, Linden Tool, H&H Industrial Grinding, Dayton Reliable and Draun Metal. His favorite pass time was as a volunteer firefighter for The City of Kettering where he dedicated more than 35 years serving as an officer, Captain, paramedic and instructor for Stations 2 and 5. The family will receive friends Monday, April 5, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Kettering.
