Hamblin, Cody Alexander (#13, Chammy, Hambone, Codes), 22, of Miamisburg, Ohio was called home to God the morning of May 29th. Cody received his Associate’s in Science degree in December 2015 from Ohio University and was continuing with classes at Ohio University in order to graduate next spring with his Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and Sustainability. Cody was a devoted family man who loved being outdoors, fishing, riding his dirt bike, hiking, playing sports, and making wonderful memories. We lost a person who is much loved and brought joy to the many lives he impacted. Cody was preceded in death by his mam-ma and pap-pa (Carl and Oritha Hamblin), great grandfather (Stanley Kosik), and pets (Kristy, Sammy, Mojo, and Patch). As we work through this tremendously difficult time, take solace in the fact that Cody is now at peace and is in the arms of his loved ones. He is survived by his parents Darren and Heather (Kosik), sister Heidi, “big brother” Jarryd (Smith), grandparents (Cathy Kosik, Mike and Margie Kosik), great-grandmother Janet (Leiter), girlfriend Audrianna (Penza), and numerous aunts and uncles (Karen Hamblin, John and Mary Kosik, David Kosik), cousins (Andrea and Joe Phanton, Kisha and Oakley Greenlee and Caitlin, Chloe and Jacob Kosik), other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Family will receive friends from 3-5 pm on Sunday, June 5th at the SouthBrook Church (9095 Washington Church Rd. Miamisburg, OH 45342). A service for all will follow immediately after, beginning at 5 pm. Friends are welcome to gather together at the Miamisburg Moose Lodge around 6 pm (2110 E. Central Ave. Miamisburg, OH 45342) to celebrate the memories which made Cody’s life so special.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice in honor of Cody.
The family would like to thank you all for the outpouring of support, kind words, memories, and thoughts which have been so comforting during this trying time.
