Cynthia Ann (nee Walla) Schultz passed away on November 15, 2018, at the age of 83 following a brief stay at a hospice facility in Middleton, OH. She was born on June 21, 1935, in Chicago, IL, the only child of Frank and Myrtle (nee Heyne) Waclawek (alias, Walla). After her marriage to Paul D. Schultz in Chicago, on March 9, 1963, the couple moved to New York City, where Cynthia worked as a personnel manager at an office of McGraw-Hill Publishing. In 1973, they moved to Bloomington, MN, where Cynthia worked in a dental office. Following the death of her husband in 1989, Cynthia moved back to Chicago in 1990 to care for her mother and was employed for several years in the Registrar’s office at Quigley Preparatory Seminary. The last year of her life was spent at St. Leonard, a Catholic senior living facility in Dayton, OH. Throughout her life, Cynthia enjoyed bowling, cooking, entertaining, crossword puzzles and family gatherings. A Mass will be celebrated on a later date at St. Mary's, Star of the Sea, Chicago, with interment at Willwood Burial Park, in Rockford, IL. Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Myrtle, husband Paul and 1 niece. She is survived by many cousins and their families in the Chicago area, two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, and six nieces and nephews who all loved her very much. She will also be missed and mourned by friends in several states.
