(Lucille) Darlene Lehman, age 77, of Dayton/Belmont, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Friday December 10th, 2021, surrounded with her loved ones by her side, while under the care of the staff at Miami Valley Hospital.
Darlene was born on April 7th, 1944, to her parents Burley and Irene (Nelson) Green while stationed in long Beach, California during WWII. She spent her childhood growing up in Madison, West Virginia and later moved to Dayton, Ohio where she graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1962. She obtained an associate's degree in Accounting from Sinclair Community College and dedicated 47 years of service to Monarch Marketing as a Credit Analyst, where she retired from in 2009.
Darlene leaves behind her Husband Robert (Bob) Lehman who she shared 35 years of marriage with, her only Son Michael Hendrixson who she raised on her own, two Granddaughters Sarah and Taylor Hendrixson, and two brothers Steve and David Green. She is preceded in death by her Parents and her grandmother Lola Hatfield.
Darlene enjoyed sewing, shopping with her granddaughters, attending luncheons with her longtime high school friends the “Wilbur Wright Lunch Bunch”. She and her husband spent much of their free time with friends at the VFW where she was a member of the Board of Trustees at post 2800.
Darlene was a very special lady and will be deeply missed by every life she touched. She will be laid to rest on Thursday January 20, 2022, in the Mausoleum at the Woodland Cemetery & Arboretum from 3:00pm-4:00pm, with a celebration of life to follow at the VFW post 2800 with family and friends.
