David Bakan

David J. Bakan, age 67 of Celina passed away Friday, December 6, 2024. "Pops" will always be remembered as a loving partner, father, and grandfather. David is survived by his significant other, Vicki Young; a son and daughter-in-law, Matt (Tamara) Bakan; a daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline (Marc) Huelsman; a sister, Karen (Rick) VanZile; two brothers, Jim and Steve (Michelle) Bakan; five grandchildren, Riley, Addison, Kenley, Grayson, and Jackson. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Jane Bakan; sister-in-law, Marlene. The family will receive friends from 4-8pm at Westbrock Funeral Home on Friday, December 13, 2024, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering. Services will be held at 10am on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial at Calvary Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Ohio State James Cancer Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family invites you to a celebration of life in honor of Dave at the Milton Club proceeding Saturdays services.
