Monaghan, David Clare, age 78, of Dayton, passed away Saturday March 21, 2015. Mr. Monaghan, a U.S. Army veteran, was CEO and Owner of Monaghan Tooling Group, Inc. for 40 years. He was a graduate of Chaminade High School, class of 1955; a graduate of the University of Dayton; and a long-time member of the Miami Valley Golf Club. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Joanne Fleischman, Kathaleen Wildhaber, and Deborah Law; and a brother, J. Patrick Monaghan. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia; a daughter, Tricia Monaghan; a son, Scott & Sherry Monaghan; grandchildren, Courtland, Brittaney, Braeden, and Carson Monaghan, Madeline and Quinn Monaghan; great-grandchildren, Sidney and Amaya Monaghan; a sister, Immaculata “Max” Bramlage; a brother, Michael J. Monaghan; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-8pm at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
