Donald Pancake

PANCAKE, Donald, age 79 of Kettering, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017. He was born on July 14, 1937 in Dayton to the late, Birch and Clara (Lengerich) Pancake. Also preceding him in death is sisters, Norma (Nick) Nicholas, Helen Dungan, Lee Pancake; brothers-in-law, Gene Kirchmer and Corky Points. Don is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley (Grulick) Pancake; daughters, Christine (Ron) Sweeney, Jennifer (Dane) Marsee, Rebecca (Todd) Kreill; grandchildren, Rachel, Andrew, Ryan, Daniel, Alayna; siblings, Juanita Kirchmer, Alan (Rita) Pancake, Carol Points, brother-in-law, Harvey Dungan and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Don worked as a Machinist with Harrison Radiator. He loved fishing and the Cincinnati Reds. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather that will be missed deeply by all that knew him. Mass of Christian Burial is 12 noon on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Church of the Ascension. Don will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements entrusted to Westbrock Funeral Home, Kettering.
