Donald E. Schweitzer Sr

SCHWEITZER, Donald, age 93 of West Carrollton passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018. He was born in Dayton on September 12, 1924 to the late, Charles and Carrie (Braun) Schweitzer. Donald was also preceded in death by his wife, Julianna (Lieser) Schweitzer and son, Lynn Schweitzer. Donald is survived by son, Don (Linda) Schweitzer; daughter-in-law, Sue Schweitzer; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jonathan) Moore, Catherine Schweitzer, Elizabeth Schweitzer (fiancé Will Marsh); great-grandchildren, Hannah and Danielle Moore and many other extended family and friends. He worked as a Scheduler with Monsanto for many years. He served in the Army during WWII. He spent many happy summers fishing at Rice Lake Canada with his family and he loved playing bridge and played every Wednesday night for 30+ years with his Bridge playing buddies. Friends and family may visit from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, June 6 at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave., Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at St. Henry Catholic Church, 6696 Springboro Pike, Dayton. Donald will then be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
