Dorothy Rash

Rash, Dorothy J. age 85 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009 with her family by her side. She was born September 10, 1923 in Mt. Vernon, KY. The daughter of George W. Denney and Rebecca Jones Denney, who preceded her. Also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James S. Rash and an infant daughter, Barbara Jean Rash. She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Survived by four daughters, Loretta (Ron) Clark, Joetta (Dennis) Fogt, Linda (Tole) Roberts and Kimberly (Jim) Anthony; five sons, James C. (Lee) Rash, Curtis (Gina) Rash, Thomas (Suzanne) Rash, David (Denise) Rash and Timothy (Priscilla) Rash; seventeen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mattie Kirby and Rissie Renner of Mt. Vernon, KY. She was of Baptist faith and a very patriotic republican. She was a strong Kentucky bred woman who loved her family and didn't want to leave them. Services will be held 1:00 pm, Monday July 6, at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave with Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00 Monday at the funeral home. Burial, Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, envelopes available at the funeral home. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people involved in moms care; Dr. Joffee and all the staff at Dayton Heart Hospital; Dr. Jillian Waite and Julie Dabbelt for her home care also Hospice for the care mom received. There were so many involved in Moms care that we omitted you, please know that we thank you too. God bless you mom, we will miss you terribly, but know you are at peace.
