Douglas J. Dodson

Dodson, Douglas John, age 55, of Washington Township, passed away Saturday August 17, 2013, peacefully at Kettering Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Doug was an entrepreneur and enjoyed his various dealings including design and construction, telecommunications consulting and sales. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy Submarine Force. Doug was preceded in death by his father –in-law and mother-in-law, Stratin & Chrisoula Stamas; and his brother-in-law, David Stamas. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Tina; his son, Ryan Dodson his daughter, Alina Dodson; parents, Dr. Verne & Phyllis Dodson; his siblings: Jeffrey Dodson and wife Terri (children, Jeffrey,Jr. and Christine Dodson), Thomas Dodson, Jane Dean and husband Gregg (their children, Evan and Emily Dean) and Bennett Dodson and wife Shawn (children, Bennett, Jr and Kyle Dodson); brothers-in-law, Jim Stamas and wife Libby, Steven Stamas and wife Sharon; numerous loving and caring friends, and his dear companion and dog, Lucy. Funeral Services will be 11:00am Friday at Schwalm Chapel at Fairhaven Church, 637 E. Whipp Road, Centerville. Burial will follow in David’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 22nd from 4-7pm at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road.
