CONLEY, Dwight “Doug” , Age 55, of Washington Twp, passed away May 4, 2016. Doug was born December 5, 1960 in Middletown, Ohio. He is the son of Denyne (Baker) Dietz and the late E. Dwight Conley. A 1979 graduate of Middletown H.S., Doug earned an Engineering degree at the University of Dayton in 1983 and an Executive MBA at Xavier University in 2002. Doug played multiple sports at MHS and was the quarterback and a captain of the football team. He was inducted into the UD Athletic Hall of Fame with the 1980 NCAA Div. III National Championship football team. A captain senior year, he was awarded the Karas “Most Inspirational Player Award” as “a man who gave 100% of himself both on and off the field.” Doug was a natural leader and gave “110%” throughout his life as a loving husband, proud father of four, devoted son, genuine friend, hard worker and kind, generous man. At the time of his accident, Doug was a partner and Sales Engineer of PEAK Measure of Ridgefield, WA. Doug is survived by his wife of nearly 34 years, Joanne (Bruns); his children Michelle, Rachel and Nick; his mom, Denyne Dietz; his siblings Wendy (Robb) Evans of GA and Jeffrey (Cindi) Conley of TX; grandson Cayden Conley; numerous nieces, nephews and additional relatives. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Cody, his father, Dwight, and his nephew, Kyle Lawson. Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated by the Most Reverend R. Daniel Conlon at the Church of the Incarnation in Centerville at noon on Tuesday, May 10, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton and a luncheon. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Monday, May 9 at Westbrock F.H., 5980 Bigger Rd, Kettering.
