With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Edmond Dandeneau, age 81 who departed from our lives on March 25, 2024. Ed, Dad, Pepere, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who met him whose presence illuminated the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on November 2, 1942, he was raised in Providence, Rhode Island and a graduate of Mount St Charles High School and lived in RI until he went to New Mexico to graduate from St. Micheal, Santa Fe College. After college, Ed became an officer in the US Air Force, serving for 13 years, gained his masters in business from Central Michigan University before moving into the government contractor industry.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Leona Dandeneau and his sister, Jeanne Willis. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary, his daughters and son in-laws, Sheila (Sean) Roush, Sharon (Jack) Cook; his brothers Denis and Ernest and his sister, Claire Dandeneau; four grandchildren, Katherine Roush, Elizabeth Roush, Jack Edmond Cook, and Joseph Cook.
He will be remembered for his impact and involvement in his church, and Worldwide Marriage Encounter. Ed’s kindness, generosity, laughter and spirit touched many lives leaving an indelible mark on his community. He will be remembered at a Mass of Christian Burial, Friday April 5th at 10:30am at St Francis of Assisi Church in Centerville, Ohio. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 4th from 4:00 - 8:00pm at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road. Burial will be at St. Brigid Cemetery in Xenia, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Worldwide Marriage Encounter, WWME.org , envelopes available at the funeral home.
