Eileen M. Korns

Korns, Eileen M., age 95 of Dayton passed away Saturday May 24, 2014. Eileen was the organist at Otterbein United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Working as a floral designer her entire life, she started her career at Bowers Greenhouse, her parents’ business; then Horlacher Flowers and finally Oberer’s. Eileen also spent many years volunteering at Miami Valley Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard in 1979. She is survived by a daughter, Susan Holzen of Cincinnati; son, Raymond (Carol) Korns of CA; two grandchildren, Amanda and Grant Holzen. Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday May 30 at the Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. The family would like to thank the staff at 10 Wilmington Place, Josephine Memory Care and Vitas Hospice for the loving care of Eileen.
