Elaine Merkel

MERKEL, ELAINE C., (nee Dionne), age 94 of Centerville, passed away, June 4, 2009 at St. Leonard Health Center. Born November 30, 1914 in Lena, WI and was a long time resident of Milwaukee before moving to Ohio in 1998. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Dionne, her husband, Robert F. Merkel in 1951 and 12 brothers and sisters. Survived by her daughter, Mary E. (Ralph M.) Gutman, grandsons: Charles P., (Shelley) Listwan & Michael P. Listwan, great-grandsons: Jackson, Samuel & Owen Listwan. Also survived by her step-grandchildren, Ralph M. (Laura) Gutman, Jr., Eric Gutman & Betsy (Shane) Harrison & eight step great-grandchildren & her sister, Clarice (Warren) Andre, sister-in-law, Augusta Dionne & many nieces & nephews including: Dianne Younk, Judy Maurer, Virginia Johnson & Mark Feld, all of Wisconsin. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 11, 2009 at St. Leonard Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Leonard Benevolent Fund or Hospice of Dayton
