Eleanor J. Schmidt

Schmidt, Eleanor J., age 97, of Dayton, Ohio entered eternity on December 31, 2018. A loving, devoted housewife and mother of four children, Joyce A. Davis, Fr. Tom W. Schmidt, Jerome L. Schmidt, and Paulette A. Trickey. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Paul G. Schmidt; parents, William J. Feeley and Katherine Feeley (Fleming); sisters, Catherine Knecht and Alice Strotman. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 grerat-grandchildren, and one on the way. There will be a prayer service at 3pm Thursday January 3, 2018 at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road Kettering, OH. 45440 (phone: 937-434-6161), followed by a visitation from 3:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Final visitation will be Friday January 4th at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike Centerville, OH. 45459 from 9:30-10:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. All are invited to lunch. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH. 45249 at 3:00pm. Special thanks to Hospice of Dayton for the compassionate care of our mother and her family, and to The Westbrock Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, family asked that donations be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church or Hospice of Dayton in honor of our mother.
