Lowry, Elizabeth M.
Age 87, of Centerville, OH passed away suddenly on April 29th, 2018. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved and enjoyed her family. Betty met her future husband George when they were newborns in the nursery at St. Anne’s Hospital (St. E’s) in 1931. They met again at Holy Angel’s School in the 4th grade and dated throughout high school and college. Their marriage of nearly 65 years was filled with fun, global adventures, many close friends and lots of heartfelt celebrations.
Betty was preceded in death by her son Bill, who died of cancer in 2011. Betty is survived by her husband George, her children, Sue (Paul) Ciarlariello, Julie (JD) Winner, Tom (Anne) Lowry, Elaine (Brian) Markland, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Adam (Steph), Dan (Amy), David (Nikki), Leah (Todd), Jackie (Joe), Michael (Tyler), Joseph, Colton (Megan), Ross (Maria), Jared (Emily), Ryan (Cara), Emma, Dominic, Leona, Luca, Trudy, Callen and Cece. Betty was also a loving aunt to her dear nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd. on Friday May 4th from 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Centerville, where she and George enjoyed many good times with their Keenager friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul. Betty followed these rules to happiness: Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly and Leave the rest to God. In celebration of Betty, please raise a toast to the love of your life, the gift of your family and all the wonderful friendships you’ve enjoyed through this journey called life.
