Elsie Frances Burge

Burge, Elsie Frances, born July 9, 1916 in Bradfordsville, KY to Hugh T. and Tommie (Beard). Elsie retired from Rikes and Lazarus after 33 years, mostly as seamstress in the ladies alteration department. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard B. Minor and wife Ann. Survived by one son and daughter-in-law, William H. and Nola Burge; four grandchildren, John K. (Kathy) Burge of Rushville, OH, Tracy Burge and companion Corrie Scharff of Clarksville, OH, Kelly Burge of Centerville, OH, Kara (Winton) Smith of San Diego California, Steve (Beverly) Stoehr of Dayton, OH, Kimberly (Jerry) Plunkett, Lebanon, OH, Anette (Rick) Kennedy, Colorado; nine great grandchildren, one brother, Jack (Rhoda) Minor, Dayton, OH; two sisters, Mary “Libby” Placilla of Harrodsburg, KY and Georgia Case of Danville, KY\; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11:00 am Monday December 2 at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00-6:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial, Willowview Cemetery.
