Aiello, Esther K, passed away on 27, October 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. We were
blessed to have her for 93 years. She was born on March 1, 1922 in Covington, KY
to Mary Margaret Russell-Lestingi and Frank Lestingi and grew up in Dayton, OH.
Esther married Charles S. Aiello on July 20, 1940 in Dayton where they were
happily married for 52 years. She took full advantage of her husband’s garden
and was a wonderful cook. Esther had an eye for antiques and decorating, and a
love for horses and Dachshunds that she raised with her husband. On occasion
they’d travel by riverboat from Cincinnati to Old Coney and enjoy dancing at
Moonlite Gardens. She was also an avid fan of Reds baseball on radio. Esther
was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, her Husband, Charles, her
Siblings, Frank, Nicholas, Christina, and Samuel, and her Grandson, Ethan
Michael. Esther is survived by her only child, Donna Marie and her husband Gregg
Fitzgerald; her Brother, Joseph Anthony; her Grandchildren, Arthur Lymon,
Britton Charles, and Lauren Kate; her Great-grandchildren, Brooke Haley, Arthur
Lymon, and Hannah Elizabeth; many beloved Nieces and Nephews, and Rosita and
Worth Fitzgerald for whom she felt a special warmth over many years. Services
will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at St. Leonard Faith Community, 8100
Clyo Road, Centerville, OH 45458. A visitation will be held on the same date at
12:30 p.m. with Mass at 1:30 p.m. followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery,
