Esther Schwendeman

Schwendeman, Esther L., age 92, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday August 24, 2010. Mrs. Schwendeman was a very active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Her greatest joys came from her faith, spending time with her family, gardening, cooking and crafts. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, James L. in 2008; her two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary & Fred Naas, Jeanne & Randy Brethauer, Martha & Ken Beasley; a son and daughter-in-law, James & Jane Schwendeman; 9 grandchildren, Philip, David, Kevin, Jason, Sara, Zach, Angie, Jennifer, Nicole; 2 great-grandchildren, Adah and Collin; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am Monday at St. Anthony Church, Fr. Chris Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-5 pm at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. The family requests donations to be made to St. Anthony Scholarship Fund.
