FURDERER, EUGENE J., age 83 passed away, Monday, April 11, 2011. Eugene was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary E. Furderer. He is survived by his children: Mike (Donna) Furderer, Dave Furderer, Patricia (Kevin) Lawler, Steve (Laura) Furderer, Chris Furderer and Mary Ann (Steven) Berning, grandchildren: Brian (Anna), Kevin (Cassi), Darin and Amy Furderer, Sean Leibrock, Kyle, Kellie and Chad Furderer and Morgan Berning and great-grandchildren: Owen and Maddison Furderer. Eugene is also survived by his brother, Bob (Carol) Furderer and sister, Marlene Dunlavey. Eugene was employed by Ohio Bell for 35 years and retired in 1983, he was a veteran of the United States Navy serving from 1945-1946 and stationed at Pearl Harbor, an avid sailor from the early 1960’s-mid 1970’s, Eugene was a certified lifeguard at Old River Park and was a faithful Catholic and belonged to Emmanuel Catholic Church. Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 15th at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16th at Emmanuel Catholic Church, 149 Franklin Street, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
