Miller, Eugene, born August 21, 1920 in Dayton, Ohio, passed away Monday November 12, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy. Also his parents Gregory and Leona (Steinbach) Miller as well as sisters Marjorie and Eloise. Graduate of Stivers High School 1938. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II spending thirty-three months in Asiatic-Pacific campaign. Married Lucy Stammen June 18, 1949. Kettering resident for many years and known to its residents as the man on the bicycle who spent many hours watching sports of all kinds. He retired as a toolmaker of NCR and a member if their 25 year club. Charter member of NCR golf club and no stranger to their links! Flew light aircraft out of Moraine Airpark. Member of Kettering Sister City Association. Traveled to Steyr, Austria, behind Iron Curtain East Germany, Hungary, Prague, Czechoslovakia, Australia, and other around the world trips. Survived by daughters, Frances (Louis) Schlegel, Julie (Barney) Feinblum, Bonita (Rodney) Schultze, Cynthia (Christopher) Copas. Grandsons, Josh (Carlyn) and Danny Feinblum. Also, a brother, Dr. Richard Miller and a sister, Virginia (Michael) Heberling, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am Saturday at St. Albert the Great Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-7pm at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
