BRINKMAN, Evelyn Mae (nee Zimmer) Age 86, of Centerville, died August 1, 2013. She was born in Dayton, OH on September 9, 1926 to John and Matilda (Volk) Zimmer. She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent J Brinkman, 2009, parents and sister Marlene (Zimmer) Brinkman. Evelyn was also preceded by sisters-in-law Mary Margaret Zimmer, Wanda Brinkman and brother-in-law Paul Kolhoff. She was a 1944 graduate of Julienne High School. Surviving is her son and wife, David & Sandy Brinkman and their children Nathan (Ting), Justin (Cathy), Ryan (Katia), and Brad (Amy). Daughter and husband Lois & John Brill and their children Kevin (Margaret), Emily (Mike) Zelenka, David (Kathleen), and Matthew (Corinne). Son and wife Kenneth & Pat Brinkman. Daughter and husband Mary & Steve Elsner and their children Erin (Mike) Reynolds and Abby. Daughter Carolyn Lurz and her children Jacklyn, Bryan and Rachel. And 14 great-grand children Josh, Dylan, Kyle, Vinny, Theodore, Zachary, Christopher, Lily, Sasha and Davy Brinkman, Frederick and Henry Brill, and Elizabeth and Catherine Zelenka. Surviving also are a brother John Zimmer, sisters-in-law Florence Kolhoff, Dorothy (Ray) Rettich, Joan (John) Vallo and brothers-in-law Louis Brinkman, Norman (Doris) Brinkman, Don Brinkman, Tom (Jan) Brinkman, other extended family members and many friends. She was a member of Talk Club and Boat Ladies. She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish where she was a member of the Bridge Ladies and Keenagers. She was a former member of Nu Iota Kappa and REAC. And she loved playing all kinds of cards and games with her grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Saturday August 10, 2013 at St. Leonard Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 4-8pm at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road in Kettering, and again from 10-10:30am at St. Leonard Church.
