Evelyn Lion

Evelyn Lion, a devoted wife and mother known for her impeccable sense of style and love for her family, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on August 6, 2024. She was born on February 20, 1933, in Trinity, KY to the late Harry and Lorene (Bivens) Werline

Evelyn took great pride in ensuring her home was always immaculate and cultivated a beautiful garden filled with vibrant flowers. Her sharp sense of fashion was a reflection of her elegance and grace. Above all, Evelyn cherished her family and held her faith in God dearly.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, John Lion. She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Steve) Vasta, her son Daniel (Deborah) Lion, grandchildren Michael Vasta, Christopher Vasta, Brittany Walters, great grandchildren Enzo Vasta, Kaci Walters, Kennedy Walters, and Mila Vasta, as well as extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 12-1pm at Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Rd. Kettering. Funeral Services will begin at 1pm with burial to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville, OH.

Evelyn Lion's legacy of love, grace, and dedication will forever be cherished by all those whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
