BERGMAN, Everett Jerome Age 84, passed away at 3:00 PM, Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born September 7, 1924 in Dayton, graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1942 and served in the Army from 1943-1946 (835th Signal Service Battalion). He was a printer, craftsman, entrepreneur, humorist (aka Gregor Papoofnick), salesman, succulent gardener, and active community and church volunteer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Louise M. (Anderson) Bergman, mother and father, Frances E. (Winner) and Henry J. Bergman, daughter Julie Bergman, and sisters Dorothy Couvion and Dolores Kloos. He is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Ronald (Mary Ann) Bergman, sons and daughters and their spouses: Drs. Steven and Mary Bergman; Beth and Dr. Michael Duke, Kristen Bergman and Keed; Lisa and Tom Dineen, Brian and Dr. Lora Bergman; brother-in-law and spouse, Ronald (Linda) Anderson, and sister-in- law and spouse, Janet (Tom) Howland; grandchildren: Allison and Caitlin Bergman, Nicholas and Jonathan Wells, Dietrich, Seth, and Emily Duke and Annie (Duke) Lima, among cherished others. Prayers will be said at the 9:30 AM Tuesday viewing, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 249 Squirrel Rd, Dayton, 45405, followed by internment at Calvary Cemetery.
