Hoover, Florence McNeill, 90, died Saturday December 26, 2015, at Oakwood Village, Springfield, Ohio. She was the only child of the late William and Annie McNeill. A 1946 graduate of Bob Jones College (where she was honored with the title, “Miss Pulchritude”), Florence was the wife of Reverend Herbert W. Hoover, Sr., whom she met when they were both students at the college. They married in 1945. He died on August 31, 2015. Mrs. Hoover leaves behind to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy of humor and generosity, her son Timothy (Rusty Moe) and Herbert, Jr. (Zindy Taylor); her grandchildren Ryan (Lillian Bayley) Hoover of Baltimore, MD; Chad Hoover of Davis, CA; Andrea (Brian) Malevich of Morrow, OH; and Lauren (Todd) Mikesell of Xenia, OH; and her great-grandchildren, Abigail Malevich, Luke Mikesell, Alexander Malevich, and Avanell Mikesell. A celebration of Florence Hoover’s life will be at 12 noon, Tuesday December 29th at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road, Kettering, with calling an hour preceding the service, from 11-12.
