BRUNS, Frances Culver Roehrenbeck of Kettering, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at the age of 89. Fran had two loves in her life. Her first was her husband, Joseph (Joe) G. Roehrenbeck. It was during his illness that Fran got her Realtor's License. She was the top Salesperson in 1977 with Gateway Realty when she had her first "unofficial" date with Carl Bruns. She married her second love, Carl Raymond Bruns on April 29, 1978. Carl recently passed away in December 2010. Carl had five children when they married: Raymond Bruns of Huntsville, Alabama, Willie Bruns of Portland, Oregon, Eileen (Bill) Tomsich of Mansfield, Joanne (Doug) Conley of Centerville, John (Heather) Bruns of Portland, Oregon. Fran and Carl founded the "Keenagers Club" at St. Francis of Assisi Church. They enjoyed the many years they spent with their special friends from the "Keenagers Club". Fran was a true fighter and a cancer survivor! She gave the gift of unconditional love to her entire family. The family would like to thank our very special caregivers for all of their compassion and care to Mama and Papa: Aunt Mary, Chris, Christie, Mel, DeeDee, Ronnie and Sheila. Gem City Home Care: Pete, Lisa, Julie. Their loving care was a blessing to Mama and Papa and to the entire family. An extra special thank you to Eileen Tomsich, who's unselfish love and devotion enabled Mama and Papa to live out their life at home with her pet Skippy.
