Frank J.

DIX, Frank Joseph of Lebanon, Ohio, formerly of Dayton, OH passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at age 85. Frank was born on April 17, 1924 and served in the US Armed Services as a Chaplain's Assistant in World War II. He worked as a building contractor for N.J. Dix & Sons and spent much of his life in charitable service, including work for St. Vincent De Paul and Elizabeth New Life Center. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Phyllis Dix (Karl), and children Mary Ann Dix, James Dix, Joan and AJ Murray, Barbara Armstrong, Judith and James Ater, Janet and Glenn Bennet, Anthony and Robin Dix, Sarah Witt, Susan and Brent Jividen, and Teresa and Scott Greer. He is also survived by grandchildren Jeremy Wallace, Mitten and Ethan Lowe, Kyle and Justin Murray, Alex and Jordan Armstrong, Joshua and Elizabeth Ater, Sean and Monica Ater, Joel Ater, Caleb and Elizabeth Ater, Aaron and Heather Dix, Rebecca Witt, Lucas, Jonas and Karina Jividen, Brea, Zoey and Noah Greer, and great grandchildren Laini Lowe, Joshua Ater, Jr., Samuel, Gabriel, and Regina Ater, James Caleb Ater, and brothers John and Anthony Dix. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 15 at Corpus Christi Church, 200 Homewood Drive, Dayton, OH, 45406 at 11 a.m. The family will receive extended family and friends prior to the services beginning at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Vincent De Paul Society ( www.stvincentdayton.org ) or Elizabeth New Life Center ( www.elizabethnewlife.org ).
