Fensel, Frederick A., Jr., age 70, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Fred attended Ohio University and graduated from University of Dayton. After graduation, Fred held several positions, including stock broker, CPA, and realtor. He was a former board member at Wegerzyn Garden and Art Center in North Dayton. He was an avid advocate for the care of pets and animals, giving homes to many cats. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick A. Fensel, Sr. and Gretchen "Jinx" Walther Fensel; cousin, Dr. Jack Walther and a niece, Alexandra Fensel. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Fensel; step-daughter, Trina (Roger) Merritt; step-son, Lawrence "Eddie" (Dana) Harmon; grandchildren, Jordan and Annie Merritt, Eddie and Zachary Harmon; a brother, Phillip (Linda) Fensel; nephews, Josh (Beth) Fensel and their children and Phillip Fensel, Jr.; sister-in-law, Amy (Jamie) Obermeyer and their children; and other nieces, nephews and family members. Family will receive friends, Saturday, June 9th from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave, Dayton. The "gentle giant" will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
